HVAC apprentice jobs in Connecticut

Learn the trade on the job next to licensed installers and technicians, in a family owned Waterbury shop that has been training people since 1978. We serve Waterbury, Watertown, Southbury, Naugatuck, Cheshire, Southington and the nearby towns.

Always accepting applications

We are growing, and we would rather meet a good person early than wait for a job to open. Applications stay on file and we go back to them first. If someone walks in who is clearly right for this shop, we find a spot for them.

What an apprentice does here

You ride with our installers and technicians and learn by doing. You carry tools, pull wire, help set equipment, watch diagnostics happen, and slowly start doing them yourself. Nobody hands you a truck on week one, and nobody leaves you standing in a corner either.

This is the role that turns into a career. Several of the licensed people here started exactly where you would.

What you need to start

This is a training role, so we care more about how you show up than what you already know. The one thing we do ask for is that you are already committed to the trade through school.

What we look for

Honesty and drive, above everything else. We are a family owned shop, not a franchise, and everyone here knows everyone else, from the office to the trucks. Show us those two things and we will teach you the rest.

Pay and benefits

We do not publish pay rates online because they depend on your license, your experience, and the role. We talk about money honestly on the first call. For market context, see our guide to what HVAC technicians make in Connecticut.

Most benefits begin after 90 days on the job.

Frequently asked questions

No. Apprentices work under our licensed technicians and installers. What we ask is that you are in HVAC trade school or have finished it.

Yes. This is paid work and paid training, not an unpaid internship.

That is the point of the role. You build hours and experience with us, and we help with licensing and certification for some positions.

Look at our helper and general laborer role. It needs no experience at all, and it is a genuine way into the trade while you sort out school.

You will get an email back from us. We keep applications on file and go back to them first when a spot opens.
